What was the highlight of Riu Guanacaste - All Inclusive
It's a pretty good hotel, with decent food.
Nearly all the staff were eager to help, and friendly. Access to the beach and pools was very good. Our room was comfortable and clean.
In the breakfast buffet section, I saw 2 staff members moving a handful of silverware which they held by the ends which people eat with. Several times front desk staff were overly eager to appear helpful, and offered fully incorrect answers about if and where I could get certain foods.

Overall great stay, food needs improvement
The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room although dated was better than the pictures. The pool area was nice and relaxing.
I have stayed in many RIU properties. This was the worst food experience I’ve had at any of them. The food on the buffet was often cold. The speciality restaurants were basically all buffet style as well with a few a la cart items. The BBQ chicken and burgers that was served Pool side right off the grill during lunch time was delicious and was the best meal. The Asian restaurant was our go to for dinner. We ate off the resort a few times and everything we had was delicious. Many of the locals stated that they hear the same complaints about the resort food from visitors. RIU should enlist local chefs.
